holy poop if its Gagner and N Schultz for Reimer and Gardiner, Oil lose that trade. Oil would need a center back
being a big Oiler fan i dont want them to give up Gagner... love Gagner. and they can afford him

Not so sure EDM loses this trade. Adding Gardiner would be huge for the oilers and Reimer is a solid #1 and still relatively young. Pretty good deal from what I see.

Why would the leafs want to give up Reimer just because they picked up Bernier? There is no hurry to move Reimer, think of it like what LA did, Bernier wanted out because he was 2nd to Quick, they kept him for a year because he was a great backup and his value was too low to move him when they didn't have to.

And if we are trading Reimer, we are getting over paid. More than what we gave up for Bernier kind of over paid (which won't happen).

Plus there is no reason to lose 2 young assets for an upgrade to Bozak. There is no way you would do it either, would you trade J.Schultz + Dubnyk for Gagner if the shoe was on the other foot? Not a chance.

Ew nick shultz. Gagner for Gardiner? Nah pass. Gardiner has better potential. Gagner has never hit 50 points. Gardiner can change the pace of the game with his skating and puck movement. Would package Gardiner for a better player if I were the Leafs.

He's a young centre from Southern Ontario and he's an RFA. I really don't think there's much more to this rumour than that. Gagner to Edmonton long term seemed to be the priority long term even after MacT took over and before Horcoff was sent packing.

Leafs traded for Bernier because the Oilers wanted Bernier but Kings wouldn't trade Oilers Bernier.
I suggest Gardiner+Bernier+3rd round pick for Gagner+Paajarvi+5th round pick

I like Dubnyk as Oilers starting Goalie..but Bernier would be a solid backup for now, in a year or two they could split 40 games a piece and after that decide whose the long term number one in Edmonton.

There's really nothing wrong to say about Nick Schultz. He's a good player.

The insinuation that Schultz and Gagner for Reimer and Gardiner is on par for Liles and Reimer for Sam and Justin seems to indicate that you don't think very highly of Nick Schultz.

You are actually horrible at making trades, give away our best defensive prospect for a goalie that couldn't handle the pressure in game 7, and Liles who is 34 and is out of position.... Gagner was also on pace for more than 60 points.

Gagner was on pace for 65. No matter. Reimer was a top 10 goalie this year. Gardiner is a blue chip prospect (albeit not worth 7th overall or more )

Cloutier just made this blog to piss off leafs fans and get tons of hits
